Project Spotlight: Wilberton Road

Wilberton Living Room FirePlace Interior Design By Urban Blueprint

A Toronto Family Home Gets a Thoughtful, Tailored Refresh

Elle and Jeff’s classic Toronto home had great bones, but it was time to make those bones work harder. The vision? Bring in more light, better flow, and the kind of finishes that feel special the second you walk in the door.

From the ground up, this project makes every square foot count. We underpinned the crawl space to carve out a whole new lower level,  now home to a proper wine cellar, a cozy rec room, a laundry and mudroom, and radiant in-floor heating to keep things warm year-round.

Upstairs, every space got a dose of texture, polish, and personality. The dining room sets the tone with Venetian plaster on the walls and ceiling, paneling, and Phillip Jeffries wallpaper. In the front living room, grass cloth wallpaper and new mouldings add layers without feeling fussy.

The back family room is all about quiet drama: custom plaster ceiling details, a showpiece Arabescato Corchia marble fireplace, a Napoleon insert, custom millwork, and a Samsung Frame TV — all ready for cozy nights in.
